$150 Activation Credit on $45 7GB Promo Plan (Unl Talk Txt) + Free Samsung A71 / Pixel 4a

Deal Link:
Expiry:
October 31, 2021
Retailer:
Zoomer Wireless
Zoomer is currently offering a $150 activation credit for new customers / lines on the $45 7GB plan ($50 plan - 10% discount) with a 2 year term and a $0 phone. Samsung Galaxy A71 and Google Pixel 4a no longer listed on website, call in to get latest up to date stock availability. 1-888-632-1527

The news here is the return of the $150 credit, it was $100 for most of the summer.

I just flipped both an A71 and Pixel 4a on kijiji for $400 each. This amounts to a $550 sign up bonus on this plan if you do a little kijiji / FB marketplace legwork. Bringing the monthly cost over the two years to under $28 taxes included. If you don't need 10GB from the recent Fido / Virgin plans this is hard to beat.

Additional $50 referral credit for new customers when you sign up using a code provided by another Zoomer customer.

YMMV for existing customers, call in to see if you can get the same activation credit. I was denied even the previous $100 credit so I ported out to another provider for a couple months.

Zoomer plans have been covered quite a bit here on RFD (so search or post questions below) but briefly:
Subsidiary of Rogers / Cityfone that uses the same LTE network and can freely roam on Bell / Telus.

2021-10-01 Edit: Extended expiry date as promotion is still available (typical for Zoomer)
2021-10-04 Edit: Samsung Galaxy A71 no longer listed on Zoomer website
2021-10-06 Edit: Samsung Galaxy A71 is back on Zoomer website, Google Pixel 4a is gone
2021-10-06 Edit: Changed URL from promotions page to direct link to A71 plan builder
2021-10-07 Edit: A71 gone again, changed URL to all phones page
2021-10-07 Edit: Pixel 4a is back on the promotions page
2021-10-08 Edit: Pixel 4a is gone again. Consider the deal dead for now.

I was with zoomer and live in KW and the reception was spoty and unresponsive despite half or more bars. Not sure if other people have noticed.

I'm thinking maybe it's rogers in general but that wouldn't make sense.

Great deal though I'd you didn't get on one of the BTS deals.

Zoomer uses the exact same network as Rogers. Either your phone didn't support the right bands for Rogers, your phone has issues or Rogers was down.

I'm with Zoomer in the GTA and happy with their service, they run on the Rogers network.

Zoomer is ok in GTA.
But compared to Rogers you don't get VoLTE, no wifi calling as well.
I use those features alot so sucked for me but still good deal when you add in $50 referral credit.

We are currently with zoomer, but will be switching out at the end of the contract. The price is good, but both my wife and I keep missing calls /answer and other end can't hear us for 5 seconds or so (different devices) . We also lose reception randomly along the 401 between Toronto and Kingston.

I am also in KW with Zoomer and coverage for me is great, even in underground garages where my Telus/Bell friends dont have any coverage I still get bar or two...

Signed up in mid-August and agent told me that I could call back in if the promotional discount increased within 30 days.

It's been just a bit over 30 days and this shows up lol.

Was a good deal even with the $100 bit this just makes it hotter. With us not leaving the house as much there's really no need for 15-25gb.

The referrals per account is capped at 6 / calendar year for the person doing the referral FYI (the person receiving referal code still gets the $50). I had both my accounts maxed out last year and basically had my phone plans @ $20/month after tax.

Now I can do it again with friends and family :) great time to be a zoomer customer

If I get the $76 2 lines shared plan, do I get 2x referral or is it treated as 1?

Yeah, I know that they're on the same network. My phone is also from zoomer and I've had them replace my sim card and as well. The funny thing was that this issue first started when I was using my s8, which was working fine until 3 months ago. Then all of a sudden I've been having issues.

I switched to fido recently and the problem persists which leads me to believe it's a rogers thing but that doesn't make sense either.

I'm looking to switch yet again to a bell provider and see if I have the same issue but I'm baffled.

What's the cooling period if you were a customer before to get the $150 credit?

Can confirm that Zoomer has worked great for me in Downtown Toronto, Montreal, and now Ottawa. No real concerns because you're on the Rogers network. When you switch over from Freedom, you feel the difference!

Once you're a customer, you can refer your friends too. Easy $$$. Good savings!

Yep, I signed my parents up and they ended up getting $400 in credits between the two of them plus two free phones. I've travelled around southwestern Ontario without any signal issues either :)

got the plan the last time around and the service is quite good in the west coast. Was previously on Fido and it's about the same.

Will any Black Friday zoomer deals beat this?
