Useful info posted by RFDers

-"If you are still sitting on the fence, you should call to get the detail. Zoomer CSR will open a file about your inquiry and give you a reference number which will become your account number when you sign up. For the past few promo, Zoomer will honor the promo with your reference number after the end of promo. But YMMV." - embguy

-"Provincial 911 emergency services fees: QC 40¢/mo, NS 43¢/mo, AB 44¢/mo, NB 53¢/mo, SK 62¢/mo, PEI 70¢/mo, NL 75¢/mo. No 911 fees if you are in Ontario." - tk1000

-"There is no "penalty" for cancelling before the end of the two year term but you do have to pay off the balance of the device subsidy for the phone you received when you signed up" - bvit6667

-"Resale values of phones in GTA market (brand new, locked to Rogers)" - TorontoEh
Samsung Galaxy Core LTE: ~$100-$120
Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime: $150-$180
Samsung Galaxy S4: ~$200 (average price pulled from kijiji, not sure of accuracy)
LG G3: ~$250 (price from kijiji, not sure of accuracy)

-"TIP: ask if there any promotions for a free car charger" - Mastermindeal
(I am assuming this won't work well if too many people do it, so YMMV)

This is a great deal, always lots of discussion follows regarding service level and referrals. I signed up last June and have found coverage and service to be great and to clarify Rogers provides extended coverage free if you go our of area.
Hope that helps

I agree with embguy - CALL ASAP
The website doesn't seem to have indication of the promo other than the banners on the homepage
However, I was just able to switch to the $36 dollar plan with no problems (been on month to month waiting for the promo to return)

Thanks OP, I had just called them to inquire on my cousin's behalf and like you said there was confusion and some reps didn't know - BTW when you call and inquire for the first time (if you're a new potential customer) they will create a free profile for you so next time when you call, they have notes on what deal/promo you inquired and get you up and running soon.

This is one good promo given the BIG3 cell deals (similar Telus plan retails for $65)....

I would call to confirm
I only posted the popular plans from previous promos

Sign up Zoomer plan is easy.

1. Zoomer Wireless office is in Burnaby BC and they do not have retail locations. Call Zoomer Wireless to sign up is the only way.
2. After sign up, Zoomer will send you your new phone and SIM card.
3. You will get your new phone and SIM card in a few days depending on how far you are from BC.
4. Call Zoomer to port your number to Zoomer after receiving your phone and SIM card

In the past, it is fine if your new plan is more expensive thwn what you are paying now.
They are easy to deal with. You have nothing to lose. Call them to switch. They may say yes.

Assume there is no issue with using your own phone and simply selling the phone that you get with it? Already have iPhone 6 that I am happy with. Seriously considering paying out my rogers contract for this deal - would save hundreds/year.

Your Roger iPhone 6 should work with Zoomer without unlock. Selling the free phone will help pay off your Rogers contract.
