I haven't checked recently, but not long ago, they had a loyalty plan that's $27 for unlimited talk/text and 1Gb of data. Loyalty plans are available to customers after 6 months.

Just to clarify. The referral credit is 50 for the referer, and 50 to the new user for a total of 100. Good deal for those looking for minimal use.

They also have a plan for 36 dollars with more data and a loyalty plan available after 6 months of service. This would get you better phones. Refer to the ongoing deal thread for more details.

Looks like you only get 200 minutes per month, there is no mention of unlimited evening and weekend minutes like their other plans.

Would’ve loved this deal a few years ago but now I’m spoiled by having 4GB available to me at $36 I can’t go back down.

Very impressed with Zoomer for anyone wondering though, despite it both being on Rogers networks I get better signal in buildings compared to Fido.

Edit: just renewed my contract for another 2 years. Hello another free phone for parents to use.

My mother-in-law signed up for this last month. She hates calling and only uses Signal and text messages. This is the perfect plan for people that want cell phones and don't need them.
Funnily enough, she still wanted the Blackberry Key2 phone with this plan.

Why the hate?
Someone have a better "little use" offer or it just doesn't suit your needs?

Public Mobile has the $23/1GB plan with unlimited talk. You do not get a free cheap phone, but you do not need to sign a contract.

My mother in-law is low usage but spent tons of time on the phone, the PM deal is much better in terms of control. She went over her data when she was with Koodo and it wasn't cheap. Now PM just cuts her data off when the 1GB is used up.

Upvoted. Why the hate? Great plan for people who need more texting and data than minutes and want a basic phone. Not every plan has to work for you, move on if it doesn’t.

And how can you get this? I went to PM’s website but can’t find this plan.

Edit: I guess it’s the 25$/month minus 2$ autopay saving? This deal has LTE speed and 200MB more.

Way too high a price for the type of plan.
