Yup that’s why it’s easier to be in the top 50

Tried walking in last time with 4 people when they ran the Burnaby promotion. Wait was 2 hours and their app has no availability when it came to a reservation for 4. Face With Tears Of Joy

So yeah, I'm going to pass on this place. If I'm in downtown, I'm going to Danbou Ramen anyways. The line up sucks, but there's a line up for a reason. I used to think they were a little pricey pre-covid at around $12-$14. But now that most ramen places are serving noodles at about $20, it seems like a bargain since their price stayed the same. Still my all time favourite regardless of price.

I find it crazy people would line up for what essentially taste like Ichiran

The problem is that the cost of parking in downtown Vancouver is higher than the price of a bowl of ramen. We have been going to Afuri Ramen and the food is very good.

I agree. Danbo is pretty good and closes late so it fits my schedule. Pre-COVID, a few ramen restaurants close at 11 PM, but now I think only Danbo.

I agree about parking. I usually take the train downtown. Afuri is a bit expensive for what you get. I'm not convinced it's better than Danbo.

I actually like Ichiran. Is there even one in Vancouver? The last time I went to one was in Hong Kong.

They conveniently "ran out" of the brussel sprout ramen in kerrisdale even when it was early lunch.
Lines were not bad if you go early lunch or early dinner
I imagine downtown to be much worse

If it's Ichiran you crave, just go to Horin instead. No long lines

I wouldn't say I crave it, but I thought it was good.

I remember when the first Kokoro Mazesoba opened downtown and people came 2 hours prior to opening to get a free bowl of noodles.

Danbo is basically Ichiran minus the booths.

In fact, I think it's an exact copy.

I love Danbo and Ichiran

Zubu isn’t authentic Japanese ramen at all. Tried once when they opened the Metrotown store and never again
