Can I cement the external furnace exhaust pipe?

My white PVC furnace exhaust pipe cracked off the side of my house. I have the broken end. Is there a specific safe product I can use to cement/glue/repair this pipe without replacing it? I have no tools or knowledge to remove the broken pipe and install a new one. If I can't just stick the broken piece back on, what type of professional do I need to call to fix this?

If it's just the white PVC pipe, you can buy a new piece, get a bottle of the PVC glue and glue on the extension piece. It's just a vent extension.

Please post the pic of your pipe and possibly pic of where its broken. Depending on the type of pipe , it can be determine d if repairs are allowed by code. White pipe can be 636, Royal or PVC. If its 636 or royal than you can do the repairs on pipe but using the same fittings and glue meant for particular type. If you are unsure how, than you can hire any Gas technician in your area to do repairs. Exhaust pipe is meant to take CO outside produced by furnace , so play diligently.

Picture of whole area, broken pipe piece sitting on top. Second white pipe from left broken. Hot air comes out of the broken pipe at the same time as furnace running inside, hope I got the purpose right.

There is NO need to have the pipe extending more than 4" from the wall .. a slight angle down would suffice

@Curiousah min distance from intake and exhaust is min 12" but you should also counsult manufacture specs as it may be different for your furnace. Since the pipe is outside and it looks like its 636, you can buy the fittings, pipe and glue for 636 in homedepot. I am assuming that previous installer extended the vent as per code requirements so you may want to follow the same pattern if unsure or cannot find the booklet for your furnace.

Thank you everyone for your help. Cut 12" extension piece from new pipe, cut broken pipe end coming out of house so it was square, attached with coupling using System 636 cement. Hope that was right.

cut away the broken pieces, so its nice and straight, glue a coupling piece on, then put a elbow on and bend it down, problem solved

OP just be mindful it’s not just “hot air” coming out it’s carbon monoxide gas which is poisonous. Please ensure there are no cracks inside the hone.
