if so, i'll do what @crimsona did and setup a reoccuring payment for my property tax for the remaining year (just got the bill) and cancel it once it executes
yeah, once it's paid, you'll see the next payment will be charged with transaction fees.

Is it just for the first payment or just any payment in the first month? Can someone provide more details how exactly this code works? I have a big $5,000 payment coming but already paid two smaller payments. Also, soon it will be a month since I opened the Chexy account. Is this code valid just during the first month?

It's for a single payment, the first month's payment of a monthly recurring payment.

Just setup a Property Taxes payment with my TD Cash Back VISA and got the following

Important: set up your PAD payment
Send your Chexy PAD account info to your payee so they can withdraw funds.
Your payee may send a small deposit to confirm everything is working. We'll notify you by email when it arrives.
Set up a separate recurring payment for each PAD payment.

I have setup other payments with this TD VISA (TELUS, VIRGIN etc. but not through Chexy and didn't have to do this with Paysimply).
I give the Chexy info to the Property Tax Municipality?

TIA

You can pay Toronto property taxes through Chexy by bill pay (just like sending bill payments from your bank account), or by PAD, where you give the biller the information from the bottom of a cheque (routing number, etc.) and they pull the money from your account (so you'd have to get those numbers from Chexy and give them to the city) . You chose PAD. You should be able to cancel it and do it over with bill pay.

I want to do PAD as I think that is the only way TD Visa sees it as a recurring bill payment, even though it is going to be one-time, and I get the 10% cashback so I may have to connect with the municipality and get them the info.

If you want to do PAD, you have to give the biller the account numbers. That is always the case with PAD, not just with Chexy.

But all reports I've seen are that all charges by Chexy are coded as recurring, even if it's a one-time payment.

I should be able to set up a recurring payment and apply the code for first month's payment, then cancel the recurring payment afterwards, right?

If I'm using a RBC Visa Infinite, (flat 1ccp Avio and no excelerators). Does it really matter if I make it reoccuring or not?

yes you can pause recurring payments or delete them after the first one is completed.

The Field to enter promo code for fee waiver I only saw on recurring, didn't see it on one time. Could be blind

Whoever has the Scotia Momentum VI card.... When you make a transaction, do you see the reward category associated with it after 1-2 days or it only shows up when the bill comes out the following month?

Want to pay CRA tax installments and want to be 100% sure that it will register as a recurring bill payment (4%)

See it a day or two after the transaction and it is categorized as RCU which I assume is short for recurring. The cashback seems to be aligned with the 4% rate
