[Costco] Casper Select Mattress - D-$599.99 Q-$719.99 K-$949.99

Not an all time low at all, but haven't seen a Casper sale in months.

In store the Casper Queen is $699.

Online:

Double: $599.99 ($150 off)
Queen: $719.99 ($180 off)
King: $949.99 ($250 off)

East Coast!
Awesome mattress, had it for over a year and I have zero complaints. Much better then my previous $3000+ coil spring mattress.

How firm is the Casper? I’m looking for something firm to extra firm. I had an endy before. It was good in the beginning but eventually softened up and sagged.

It's slightly on the firmer side (I think it's rated 7). I bought this last year. Not happy with it. I'm 5'10" 165lbs side sleeper and I can start to feel the sag on the mattress. Also for me, the firmness often makes my arm go numb. Note that I also use the Casper pillow.

Note I have heard that the Douglas mattress is better. No experience with it though.

Mattress shopping kinda like buying glasses, everyone's got a wildly different opinion on what's good

Not sure but am a bit skeptical here that it wouldn't be all that much better than some of the amazon memory foam mattresses for half the price even with this on sale. (And I am basing this on a lot of the reviews, not just speculation about a "big brand".)

I actually need a new mattress but worried we might not like how firm it is. What's Costco's return policy on this? Do they come and pick it up like Casper does? Always wanted to try Casper but always balked at their price, this doesn't seem too bad.

I've tried 3 back to back and it was from softest to firmest as follows Novosbed, Leesa and Casper. Casper was the firmest.

I moved and bought a milliard medium firm from Costco and after a year of use I'm really happy with it. Mattress is such a personal item you just have to try a few out. Don't buy into a brand name and take all opinions, including mine, with a bucket of salt. Only you can decide what's good for you.

Costco return policy is awesome. And yes they pick it up. Save the plastic bag so that you can wrap it up for return. You can throw the box out because mattress won't fit in there once expanded.
Be a nice person and enjoy life

If you had issues with the mattress can you also share what kind of foundation you used? Slats, box spring, bunkie board, etc.

Touching on a previous post, mattress experience can depend on a myriad of factors

Looking to grab a king or queen to try, but trying to figure out what foundation to use

Last week I saw the Kingsize was $9xx

I was at a warehouse yesterday, only queen size was sold there (for $699).

Note that Casper mattresses sold at Costco are not on the casper.ca website. They are also quite different.
According to internet research, the "Select" is close to the "Original" and "Select Hybrid" close to "Original Hybrid"
If you are in Toronto, Casper has a showroom which is decent to try out the casper.ca options. The casper prices are quite high. almost 1.5-2x compared to Costco.
I am happy with the Select Hybrid purchased a few months ago after trying various options at the casper store.
For returns, Casper forces you to wait the 30 day adjustment period. Costco allows you to return any time.

Yep that's how Casper rolls, generally high prices and then with "deals" that seem better then they are lol. Also had some experience with pillow orders not being fulfilled and being offered inferior options.

We got a hybrid one from amazon king size for $450 a few years ago and it is really good so far. I think it was bedstory.

Those looking for "extra firm" are probably best directed to hybrids. I speculate that none of the memory foams hold up to that level of firmness for long.
