My local McD recently completed store reno and removed the soft drink fountain as well as the fireplace. No more free refills of sugary drinks while toasting by the electric fireplace. Employee IQ seems to have also dropped with frequent mistakes. The only thing going up are prices. No more patronage.

It might work with small coffee since it would only be $2.99, depending on how stingy their system is setup.
A double hamburger comes to $2.99 and the offer didn’t kick in.
So yeah the system is stingy.

Not complaining about pricing, but I sure do miss when McDonald fries were consistent. Now its hit or miss. Over done or hardly done, barely any salt or too much salt.

I cannot just order an Ice Coffee to get the free fries so you need to buy more.

At lunch I usually just get one of the value meal combos (McDouble or snack wrap) for $5.79 as you can upgrade from small to medium fries for free in the app. There is no savings ordering separately with the free fries, if you also want a drink.

I doubt I will use the free fries much this year.

On the fence about this deal, but mostly wondering whats the cheapest thing you can buy to meet the $3 threshold? Snack wrap I guess?

edit: I guess its probably location dependent, but also looks like the following items are in the $3-$3.50 range
  • Snack wrap
  • McDouble
  • Junior Chicken
  • Cheeseburger Deluxe
∙ Quarter Chicken Dinner ∙ White Meat ∙ Fries ∙ Extra Sauce

old go-to was vanilla cone to get the free raptors fries.

now at $3, best options I see are:
- Junior Chicken ($3.29),
- Cheeseburger Deluxe ($3.49),
- Double Hamburger ($3.19).

The league average 3 pointers made per game for the past six seasons was over 12. Even Mcdonalds knows this team cant even meet the average on most nights.

All things considered, ~$3.20 is not a bad deal for double hamburger plus the medium fries. OP has my upvote.

it's easier because it's not a good deal

Same deal as last year, considering everything has gone up in price I’d say it’s a good deal. They lowered the required threes because they know raps will suck this year lol

Got the junior chicken plus free medium fries. Decent lunch for the price IMO.
$1 saved is like $2 earned...remember that!

I am almost certain the medium fries (from promo) would have the game pieces too. Unless they have special fries box for that without game piecesFace With Tears Of Joy
I can confirm the free fries do not come with game pieces. I redeemed the promo tonight.

In general I’ve noticed McDs has cut back a lot on the game pieces this year. You only get them for combos, upsized items, or certain individual items you pay full price for.

They now have separated cups, food packaging with and without game pieces.

Correct me if I'm worng, but I remember checking my app when the Monopoly promo came out and it specifically said that only the large fries would have game pieces. The medium size fries would not have game pieces anymore.

A mcdouble and raptors fries with a bottle of water is decent cheap eats; I can live without the fountain pop.

How exactly? This is literally the same terms from last year, except they made it easier for the raptors to hit the threshold.

I swear that I read somewhere that it's not going to just be the free fries offer every time. That's probably why they lowered it from 12 to 10 three pointers. I guess we will find out next time they score 10.
