Stocktrack has 8 stores in all of Canada with prices less than $898, lol

Edit: Searched nearest 100 stores, apparently OP lives in Surrey, they have 0 stock but it is showing $300

My local one has 3 listed, gonna have to keep an eye on this Thinking Face

Must be. It's still probably worth the $300 though, it's decent TV and not much chance of burn in. It might set the bar for Boxing Day blow outs though. People who don't game are going to get some good deals on nice TV's.

I'm looking to buy a Hisense TV, was thinking of getting it at Walmart's early BF. Historically has Boxing Day sales been a better time? Thanks.

No, I think BF and Cyber Monday have been the best time for a while. My guess though is that manufacturers and stores will want to dump 60hz TV's because nobody with a console, or thinking about getting a console is going to buy a 60hz TV. Plus a lot of people are going away from monitors and 120hz is more appealing. 120hz is a bit more than a "feature" if you're gaming, and it's probably the first time since "flat screens" that's true. OLED's are a big step, but they have been pretty expensive.

But it's just a guess. I'm biased because I game, but I wouldn't pay any money for a 60hz set. But there's nothing wrong with them for watching television so I may be totally off the mark.

I didn't start believing in ghosts until I saw a stream of stocktracker threads convince me otherwise.

I should write a book.

You folks should know there are a large number of grey market sellers in GTA and Montreal if you're looking for a modern, maybe same year, deep discount panel.

Warranty is minimal, but sometimes you can test in store.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts. Thank you.

Was hoping to them to move in price this weekend with all the other BF sale TV's, but nope - Boxes stacked under the display at $900, lol

Promises several weeks ago about BF pricing seem to have been true. Prices on 2020 and 2021 models from the big payers haven't gone down any more than they were 3-4 weeks ago. Even the prices on older off brand TV's haven't been discounted much.

You might be able to find something in-store today if you decide to venture out. And I would imagine WalMart is your best bet, perhaps maybe Best Buy. But at this point deep discounts would only generate massive refunds and not really increased sales.

I'm not worried, after everyone's new sets got delayed to middle of 2021, I ended up picking up a 65Q8G when it went under $1000 instead of waiting.

This is just for another TV I don't need because $300 🤣
