Is the CANADIANTSHIRT code one time use or does it work for the first payment for each of the recurring payments you set up?

Is it still working to pay CT WE MC bill via Chexy? I couldn't find CT WE MC in the payee list.RobbieL3164 wrote: ↑ I'm using CT WE MC to pay my property tax and get 1%, then use chexy linked with Amex simplycash (2%) to pay CT WE MC bill and get 0.25% (2% cashback - 1.75% transaction fee), so far happy about this.

As I try to setup a recurring payment on Chexy, I see there is a field to enter a promo code. If I set up a recurring payment without using a promo code (for example, car insurance), when it comes time to add another Chexy recurring payment (for example, rent), will the promo code field be there? Or is it only for the first ever recurring payment that you add?

I can confirm this totally works it's not a scam. I was skeptical so paid a small amt to test before paying a large amount. When you use this to pay income tax instalment or property tax using the "one-time" option they get charged as recurring payments!! ie that will get you the max % for cards like the Scotia momentum visa! I got that card just for this that pays 4% so net gain for each payment is 4-1.75=2.25%! My tax instalment and property tax was ~$15k so that was a gain of $375!!!
I've changed my condo fee to this now too and also Hydro even tho that's a small amt but hey why not it's basically free $
I can also confirm the aeroplan bonus is legit too I can see that in my aeroplan acct now too!
Oh this is so good!! The only thing to watch out for is that the Scotia card has a max of $25k for the 4% category so will have to be careful cos anything > that is only 1%. I've also applied for the 3% TD cash back card now to use when I'm over. The TD has a $15k too so I guess the max gain from this is ($25k * 2.25%) + ($15k * 1.25%) = $812.50 per yr. But hey it's free $
..

The net return when using the Scotia Momentum VI is 2.32% as the Chexy fee is included in the transaction.
We have two separate Scotia Momentum VI cards and two Chexy accounts between me and my wife. Also, we've got the maximum Aeroplan bonus on both accounts.

Successfully paid off my property tax using the CANADIANTSHIRT code and new TD cashback visa infinite card 10% up to $350 - so $379 in cashback plus $87 in fees saved, amazing. Hope this Chexy train lasts for a long time
And to confirm what other posters said, I started using Chexy a couple of months ago and I was successful in using the promo code, just need to set it up as a reoccuring payment not a one time, will cancel the reoccuring payment in a couple of weeks

right after the first payment is made, you can pause or delete the recurring payment.Pyro wrote: ↑ Successfully paid off my property tax using the CANADIANTSHIRT code and new TD cashback visa infinite card 10% up to $350 - so $379 in cashback plus $87 in fees saved, amazing. Just some information regarding using the PAD chexy recurring payment.
- The fund once withdrawn, you cannot reallocate the fund to another bill. They can only refund it.
- They charge you the fee for the refund.
It is a pita to deal with once you have more and more PAD, especially when you first setup since a lot of the PAD setup take literally 1 month to set up.
You will most likely have your first PAD bill not withdraw. Dealing with the arguing and refund with Chexy is really a big headache.
I think I will probably just leave the fund in the account and see if let the next PAD in the next month take care of it.
Then that lead to another question. Since in PAD you basically enter the name yourself. How Chexy match the debit with the bill? Do they use the amount? I suspect this is a manual process. I really doubt their system can make sense of everything especially there may be small amount discrepancy with recurring bills. I think the algorithm will be it pick the closes amount for the bill and someone manually confirm it in the system.

They also get your sin. Keep in mind Chexy is not a financial institution and who knows what they are going to use our information for after they go under probably in a few years.shui wrote: ↑ I can confirm this totally works it's not a scam. Signed up for it yesterday and did my first bill payment. What are the timelines for referral and Aeroplan bonus? AP seems to be around 1 months after first payment?

Has anyone actually tried using P2 cc on P1 chexy account? I'm not planning to open another chexy account if that's possible for easier management.theflyingsquirrel wrote: ↑ Those terms are there to protect their ass. Works or not with a different name, who knows. You will have to try it yourself.
You are not supposed to bill pay someone else's bill too. But parents do that all the time for their kids.
